Life

Patricia was born a daughter of actor Lewis Arquette and Brenda “Mardi” Olivia (an actress, poet, theater operator, activist, acting teacher and a therapist as well). Patricia was brought up in Virginia (California). She has four siblings, Rosanna, Alexis, Richmond and David Arquette.

Career

In the year 1986, Patricia landed up in a role for the first time in “Pretty Smart”. That time, she was just seventeen years old.
Then she portrayed the main role of Kristen Parker on “A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors”. In the year 1991, she was honored with the Cable ACE Award for her role in “Wildflower”. Then after two years, she starred in “True Romance”, in which her role was widely appreciated.
Then her appearances in “Ed Wood”, “Beyond Rangoon”, “Ethan Frome”, “Lost Highway”, “Stigmata”, “Bringing Out the Dead”, “Human Nature”, “Holes” and “Flirting with Disaster” took her to the heights of stardom and she became one of the well know celebrity of Hollywood.

Medium

Then came the year 2005, which finally made her a complete actress with her first appearance on a television series, Medium. She portrayed the role of Allison DuBois on this show, through which she became a household name. Allison had a supernatural ability to communicate with the souls and spirits. And she used her ability to help police in solving crime.
For this portrayal, Patricia was honored with Emmy Award in the category of “Outstanding Lead Actress” in the year 2005. She also won nominations of SAG award and Golden Globe in the year 2006 and nominations for Golden Globe Award and for and Emmy Award in the year 2007 as well.
And again in the year 2008, she was nominated in Emmys for her portrayal on Medium.

Personal Life

Patricia was married to the well known actor Nicolas Cage. They got married in April 1995. However, they got separated after nine months and then started the legal battle between Cage and Patricia.
Patricia’s mother died with breast cancer in the year 1997 and since then she started making other aware of this disease.
Patricia was the ambassador of Lee National Denim Day. This institution raises money for research and to bring awareness among people about breast cancer. In the year 1999, she had also run in the yearly race for the cure.
With the singer Paul Rossi, Patricia has a son Enzo, who was born on January 3rd 1989. She also has a beautiful daughter Harlow Olivia Calliope Jane who was born on February 20, 2003.
Then Patricia got engaged to actor Thomas Jane and they got married on June 25th 2006, however even this relationship didn’t worked much and she filed a petition of divorce with Thomas in January 2009.
